CP Gluing offers a comprehensive and complete quoting service, with an easy to understand format giving a per thousand sheet or unit price with cutting formes shown separate.
When requiring a quote, a fax (with a simple diagram), phone call or email to sales@cpgluing.com with the following information will assist when quoting this type of work:
* Job description
* Material weight and type
* Sheet size and number up on a sheet (in the case of die cutting)
* Unit, folder or carton size* Style i.e. folder, crash bottom carton, label etc.
* In the case of window facing the blank carton & window cutout size and the film thickness
* Quantity in sheets and units where applicable
* Name of company, phone and fax number and contact person
CAD DESIGN
CAD, or computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), is the use of computer technology for design and design documentation. CAD software replaces manual drafting with an automated process.
MOUNTING
This process allows us to produce high quality printed cartons. You supply high resolution printed sheets on 250 gsm grey back or similar – with or without film lamination.
We mount to single face E or B Flute before die / forme cutting and gluing if required.
Note: Gloss or Matt Cello sheen can help provide a gloss or matt finish plus increase the cartons durability and prevent cracking. You can also have Brown, Kraft or White on the inside of the / sheet box.

When producing cartons and folders, grain direction is very important as to how true it will fold. Please check with Mathew or Stewart when planning your layout.
WINDOW FACING
Window Facing/Patching is the ability to apply PVC/Acetate film to cardboard blanks or cartons.

The film width and length is also dependent on its position within the blank.
PEEL N SEAL
Automatic Taping is the ability to automatically apply double sided tape to point of sale products such as ‘Wobblers’ or “Shelf Talkers” and presentation products at very high speeds.
It will save in both time and labour costs by automatically feeding a stack of products into the application system and applying the double-sided tape. It is highly accurate and durable.
CARTON AND FOLDER GLUING
A carton gluer is belt driven and not gripped as in the case
of printing and cutting machinery, therefore the stock weight
is essential. Once again there are variations to the rule but
generally speaking 200 gsm 2 sided art would be the
gluing machines minimum.
Another important point is that a printed job going through a gluer
should be varnished or coated (excluding glue areas) to protect the
print from smudging or scuffing especially in the case of slow drying inks.
Finally glue flap size is most important and a minimum of 15mm is preferred, where possible you should leave glue flaps and glue areas free of ink, varnish and coating.
